vRP server hosting your way.

vRP is usually installed by hand, so you need a FiveM host that gets out of the way. Upload your build, connect a free MySQL database and manage it all from txAdmin.

  • SFTP uploads
  • Free MySQL databases
  • txAdmin included

Room for the framework that does things its own way

vRP is an older FiveM framework that some communities still prefer, often because their server has been built around it for years or because they like how it's put together. Unlike QBCore and ESX, it usually isn't installed from a txAdmin recipe.

That makes full access to your files the most important thing a vRP host can give you. Every FiveM plan includes it, through the file manager in our game panel or over SFTP, along with txAdmin for running the server and free MySQL databases for your data.

01

Installing vRP by hand

Because vRP is set up manually, you'll use txAdmin's blank or local server data option rather than a recipe, then upload your own files.

  1. 1Get a free server licence key from the Cfx.re portal.
  2. 2Create a MySQL database from the Databases tab in our game panel.
  3. 3Start the server, open txAdmin and choose a blank or local server data deployment.
  4. 4Upload your vRP resources and server.cfg over SFTP or with the file manager.
  5. 5Import your vRP SQL into the database and add your connection details to your config.
  6. 6Add ensure lines for vRP and its resources to server.cfg, then start the server from txAdmin.

02

Bringing an established vRP server over

Most vRP communities moving host already have years of work in their files and database. The move is mostly a copy: download your server folder and a database dump from your current host, upload the files, import the dump into your new MySQL database and update the connection details.

Give your players the new address once you're happy it all works. Our moving a game server guide has a checklist, and if you'd like a hand, open a ticket and we'll help move everything across.

03

Picking a plan for vRP

vRP servers vary a lot, so size by what you run rather than by the framework:

  • 2 GB Starter: testing your vRP build or a small private server.
  • 4 GB Roleplay: an active server with a full framework in place.
  • 6 GB City: our recommended plan for a busy community.
  • 8 GB and above: long-running servers with big resource lists.

If you're not sure, start where it feels right and upgrade when you need more room.

04

vRP resources and compatibility

Scripts are usually written for one framework, and the choice for vRP is smaller than for QBCore or ESX. Check that each resource is made for vRP, and for the version you run, before adding it. When something fails to start, the txAdmin live console will usually tell you which resource and why.

Keep a backup before any big change, especially anything that edits the database. You can take one from your game panel in seconds.
