Everything QBCore expects, ready when you log in

QBCore is one of the most popular roleplay frameworks for FiveM. It leans heavily on a database for characters, jobs, vehicles and inventories, and it runs a lot of resources at once, so it needs a server with quick single-thread performance and somewhere solid to keep its data.

Our FiveM servers come with txAdmin already installed and free MySQL databases you create yourself in our game panel. That covers the two things a QBCore install needs before anything else. You bring your Cfx.re licence key, run the QBCore recipe and you're away.

Installing QBCore with the txAdmin recipe

txAdmin has a Popular Recipes option that installs a ready-made framework for you, and QBCore is one of them. The recipe downloads the framework, creates the database tables and writes your server.cfg, which saves a lot of manual setup.

  1. 1Register a free server licence key on the Cfx.re portal and keep it somewhere safe.
  2. 2Open the Databases tab for your server in our game panel and create a MySQL database. Note down the host, port, name, username and password.
  3. 3Start the server and open the txAdmin address shown in the console. Enter the one-time PIN and link your Cfx.re account.
  4. 4Choose Popular Recipes, pick QBCore, then paste in your licence key and database details when asked.
  5. 5Let the recipe finish, then start the server from txAdmin and watch the live console as the resources load.

The full walkthrough is in our FiveM setup guide.

02

Which plan size suits a QBCore server?

QBCore itself is not the heavy part. What uses memory is everything you add on top: jobs, MLOs, vehicle packs, phones, inventories and the scripts that tie them together. Most cities grow quickly once they open, so it pays to leave some headroom.

  • 2 GB Starter: fine for building and testing your QBCore setup before you open the doors.
  • 4 GB Roleplay: an active server running a full framework and a sensible set of scripts.
  • 6 GB City: our recommended size, and the one we'd pick for a busy QBCore city with a good spread of jobs and custom content.
  • 8 GB and up: large, established cities with lots of MLOs, custom vehicles and resources.

You can move up a size whenever you need to, so starting smaller and upgrading as your community grows is a perfectly good plan.

03

Your QBCore database

QBCore stores almost everything in MySQL: players and their characters, money, jobs, gangs, owned vehicles, houses and inventories. The recipe creates the tables it needs, and many QBCore scripts ship with their own SQL file that you import when you add them.

Because the database holds your whole city, take a backup before big changes such as a framework update or a new inventory system. Your game panel has backups built in, and our team can help if an import goes wrong.

04

Adding QBCore scripts and resources

Scripts are generally written for one framework, so look for ones built for QBCore, or for ones that say they support it. Upload each resource into your resources folder with the file manager or SFTP, keeping custom work in its own bracketed folder such as [qb] or [custom] so it's easy to find later.

Add an ensure line for each resource to server.cfg, below the QBCore core resources, import any SQL it came with, then restart from txAdmin and check the console for errors. If you want to keep cheaters out, we also sell FiveGuard anticheat licences.

QBCore is installed through txAdmin's QBCore recipe, which comes with every server as txAdmin is pre-installed. You start the recipe, add your licence key and database details, and it does the rest. You can also upload your own QBCore build if you already have one.

Yes. Every FiveM server needs a free server licence key from the Cfx.re portal. You paste it in during the txAdmin setup.

Yes, MySQL databases are free with every FiveM plan. Create one from the Databases tab in our game panel before you run the recipe.

Yes. Upload your resources and server.cfg, import a dump of your database, and update the connection details. If you'd rather not do it yourself, open a ticket and we'll help you move it across.

You can, but it's close to a rebuild, because scripts and database tables are written for one framework or the other. It's best to settle on QBCore early and build from there.

New orders can be refunded within the first 24 hours. Renewals aren't refundable.
